A TASTE OF ART

APRIL 5, ROME

DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!

Indian artist uses his tongue to create elaborate artwork, including a rendering of Da Vinci’s Last Supper.

Ani K, a 35- year-old artist from Kerala, has adopted an unusual painting technique: he uses his palate to mix the colors and then licks the paint onto the canvas twisting his head to form different tongue strokes. Even though he uses non toxic water colors, the fumes and the smell still cause side effects such as headaches, a painful jaw, a slight loss of vision and a dip in memory power which can last for weeks. To each their own.
